Layton : Utah

Layton is a city in Davis County, in the Ogden-Clearfield metro area covering a total area of 54.0 km² (20.8 mi²) of which 53.6 km² (20.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.62%) is water. The mean annual temperature ranges from 45 to 52 degrees F. The average annual precipitation ranges from 15 to 19 inches.

The community was named for Christopher Layton, Mormon bishop.
